Праці

Автор більше 200 статей і книг з ботаніки. Разом з Натаніель Лордом Бріттон опублікував монографію про сімейство кактусів в чотирьох томах «The Cactaceae» (1919-1923), ілюстровану англійської художницею Мері Емілі Ітон (англ.Mary Emily Eaton, 1873-1961), яка згодом стала класикою і стандартом ботанічної науки.
